Ready for the full SOLAR eclipse?

It’s not great for your PV system’s production, but it is a really cool phenomenon!

AUGUST 21ST, 2017

Did you know?

  • Charleston, SC is the #1 city in the country to view the eclipse. We will get a TOTAL eclipse!!
  • The sun is about 400 times larger than the moon. But of course, the moon is much closer. And as you view from Earth, their discs are about the same size.
  • The sun can hurt your eyes. Make sure that your eclipse safety glasses or viewers are certified as meeting international standards for safe solar viewing. The current standard for safe solar viewing is ISO 12312-2.
  • There are so many people coming for the viewing parties in Charleston, that you can rent your extra bedroom in your house for $100/night!
